For this project, I used normal analog tools like a stirrer mixer, a projector and a little bit of smoke. I captured many photos from different angles with different lights.
Then, I extracted some areas from the captured photos and adjusted the colors. In the end, I put the different elements together and built up my wallpaper.

For the final step I projected the wallpaper in 3D Max on a glass pyramide to get nice soft reflection. The reflection renderlayer could be used in the post processing step as a further element. In combination with a circle, I get this
nice reflection ring.
